    Hi everyone, I came here to see if I could get some help on my project.

    I'm having some issues with opening my S4L project.
    After my project crashed while trying to run (not while running), I couldn't get S4L to open my file.

    The error message is
    ERROR: HDF5 error(s):
    arguments to routine - inappropriate type: not a location
    arguments to routine - bad value : invalid object ID

    I think a part of my project (.h5?) got corrupted when S4L crashed.
    So I looked it up and tried to fix it with HDF5 library and python using h5check and h5repack, but wasn't successful since I couldn't find the .h5 part of the project.

    Is there a way to recover my project?

    Thanks in advance

    David.

      Sim4Life makes temporary "backup" files in the same directory as the project file. Sometimes you can open one of those to get a state before the corruption occurred.

      Be sure to make sure you have enough disk space: in many cases, insufficient disk space is the root cause of file corruption.

        @bryn Thank you Bryn.
        Managed to find a version that wasn't corrupted!
        Hope you have a nice day :)
