    Hello!

So I want to use S4L to compare different placements and different geometry parameters of some RF coil design around a phantom. So far my workflow has been:

    • Use the python API to generate all possible geometries. For example a dipole antenna can be either x y or z cm in length. I create all 3 dipole antennas and so on for whatever I want to parameterize
    • In the same script generate a different multiport simulation per combination. In my case I end up with 48 combinations.
    • I manually inspect the voxels of each combination to make sure everything is okay. and then I batch run all the sims.
    • I now have 48 different sim results I want to tune and match all 48 simulations. I can use the API to extract the S parameter file and use scikit-rf or some similar library to design a matching circuit. And then I start running into problems because the MATCH module is not exposed in the API.
    • I insert the circuit parameters for each sim manunally but then still I want to extract 3,4 different quantities for each simulation (e.g. B1 field, E,H fields etc) but it is not possible throuhg the API because the input to the extractors is not valid since the MATCH module is not supported.

My only idea so far is to write another script which resimulates everything, this time including lumped elements in the simulation so everything is pretuned. Is there any other way to get around this problem, while using the API so I can process multiple results at once WITHOUT having to run all the simulations again?

Also @sim4life please give us API support of the MATCH module and multicircuit combiner 🙂
